At the Lotus Feet of SagarMatha

Mount Everest, called SagarMatha in Nepali language, is venerated for centuries and hence the title of this site “At the Lotus Feet of SagarMatha“. My goal is to share my journey to  Mt. Everest Base Camp (“EBC”) in October 2016 hoping it will inspire others to visit this wonderful place in Sherpa Valley.

Six of us took an epic journey (well, at least for me!) to the Mt. Everest Base Camp. As a professional researcher, I left no stone un-turned while preparing for this expedition and while it paid off, I realized a need to add to the existing collective wisdom on the cyber-world hoping it will fill some void and may help others preparing for the EBC trek. So here we go.

Please use the navigation bar at the top or quick links below to browse through this site and don’t forget to visit my photo/video album to take an armchair trip to the Sherpa Valley.
